Borrower FAQ
What kinds of assets will qualify?
MarketLoan is starting with categories that hold durable, verifiable value — luxury and collectible watches, fine jewelry and gemstones, vehicles, and select collectibles with an established resale market. The exact eligibility list will be published at launch.
Do I lose my asset?
No. Your asset is held in insured, professional custody while the loan is outstanding and returned to you when you repay. If a loan isn't repaid, the collateral is sold to cover it — a consequence that is disclosed clearly before you accept any offer.
How is my asset valued?
By independent, insured valuation professionals — not by MarketLoan and not by the people funding your loan. That independence keeps the valuation honest and the offer fair.
Will you check my credit?
The loan is secured by your asset, so the collateral does the underwriting rather than your credit score. Any checks that are required at launch will be disclosed clearly before you proceed.
What will it cost?
Pricing isn't final yet. MarketLoan's whole reason to exist is that a secured loan should cost meaningfully less than an unsecured personal loan or a pawn. Complete, clear pricing will be published before launch, and you'll see your full terms before you accept anything.
How much can I borrow?
The amount is based on your asset's independent valuation. Specific limits will be published at launch.
How do I get my asset back?
When your loan is repaid in full, your asset is returned to you. It was always yours — you simply borrowed against it.
